I've been hearing of this game since the '80s. It was one of the first inductees into CGW's Hall of Fame, and finally I found a review that explained its attraction to me

P.S. A8B stands for Atari 8-bit, i.e. the Atari 400, 800, etc.; but the game is also available on lots of other systems.

I was mistaken; this isn't a web version. It's Windows/Mac/Linux.

The same team was also developing a sequel for a while, but seems to have given up on it:

It would have featured an extra, fifth player, among other changes. I think it was playable for a while, but I am not sure if it's still possible to download it.

MULE is a ridiculously fun and addictive strategy game that combines real-time and turn-based styles as you battle for land and resources on a newly colonized planet. The game is easy to grasp but provides great depth of game-play.

M.U.L.E. on Steam sounds awesome, but these devs need to add online MP, or it's back to the free Planet M.U.L.E. project for us.

Why no online multiplayer?

Online MP would be the main reason to remake this game. Your graphical update means nothing if online is missing.
