The highlight this year is surely the Ironclad pirate paint. The Clipper one looks cool too, and the Basher and Shiv are pirate ships by design and we'll only use them for piracy (maybe also monster-hunting?) Watch the video at the top to see the paints in action, the Basher coming out of the Ironclad looks peak.
The treasure hunt seems quite complex and it's cool that they now have three systems across which to send you. Feels way more piratey than the old one-system hunts.
There's the usual image contest, plus the Arena Commander Pirate Swarm unlock. I might do it this year. I wonder if the unlock lasts forever, or you need to replay it every year?
The pirate crates are on sale again, but we already have a ton from last year across many accounts and clones when they gave them for free. New players who weren't around last year might be interested in buying a set though, they're very cool.
