Ronan, some of the logos from the first page of the thread have disappeared. At least the 360 one has... If you can update the page accordingly I will 100% upload all the logos to my server asap...

First attempts for Civilization. I had to make montages because of the aspect ratio of the headers. Let me know if you have suggestions.

The first one's perfect; I also stuck it on the frontpage folder. The second one would be good with a the game's logo in the sky background on the right of the image... though I would have no use for it right now.

As for GTAIII, since I am not sure whether you'll be able to do anything good with that image I gave you earlier, here are a few more:

I used the first one, and also uploaded it on the frontpage. The rest are not pretty good too but, again, I have no use for them at the moment.

Now, I am reworking a little some of the text on the reviews linked on the sidebar, and changing their look to match that of the new ones (i.e. no screenshots, no sidebar data, etc.), and it would be nice if you could do something in the meantime on the ones that have ugly headers... because people will be paying more attention to them now that the new section is going, The following ones are fine:

Here's the rundown in case you are up for it:

1. I'd like to replace the Spacewar one with this:

... but only if you could take out the screen on the left. I.e. leave only the graphics. Or perhaps use a busier screenshot, if it would look good?

This will do if we cannot come up with anything else, but I basically do not want logos in these headers... Could you remove it? Or, which would be easier I think, use the fliers to make a new one?

This looks great and I love it, but again the logo is a problem. I don't even remember where I got the artwork from, but Sheep's site probably has something that could be used if you can't easily remove it.

This is okay, and will do in a pinch, but I think the game deserves a better one...

As far as the logos go, yep, it needs to be done, and quickly before I forget it again. Thanks for reminding me. I keep putting it off for so long because it is a tremendous job. I have to make subdirectories for each system in the /hardware/ folder, and then manually upload each logo to each appropriate folder. And that will be only the first part of the job. I don't even want to think how much time it will take me to edit all the appropriate reviews...

But I will do the uploading at least pretty damn soon.

Okay, I've updated the pages and now all the links in the sidebar are working. I still haven't finished reworking some of the text, but all the other elements are in place. Now the headers...

The Spacewar one is now satisfactory, given what little material we have to work with. If you can make something better from that photo of the two guys playing it, though, it'd be nice. But if not, the current header will do.

The R-Type one is great.

The Espgaluda one has a couple of problems. First, there are two small half-cropped objects on the bottom left edge of the header that it would be nice to get rid of. Then, now that the logo is gone, the fact that the character is centered on the image does not look very good... It works for R-Type, but it doesn't work so well here. So perhaps you could move it off-centre or rotate it slightly or something? In any case, it'd be nice to have a clean version of the current one (i.e. with the two objects removed), and then if you can also do something else fine, if not then that will do.

And now that we've fixed all the others the Ketsui one stands out as the worst...

The good news is that you have already made headers for many of the games that are XXed on the sidebar, by the way. Great job, overall. Now back to working on that text again.

I used the first. The second would be better, but only if you center it :) Since the character is not standing vertically, you see, it's okay to center it...

On another note, I finished a review of Kick Off (the fourth game on my Videogame Art list) while in a fit of inspiration, and will be posting it shortly. Here's the page:

I quickly made the header using an online image editing program, trying to crop as much of the available image into the header as I could and then adding a "glamour" filter to smooth over the rough edges from the upscaling, and I think it looks decent, but if you think you can do better give it a try. Note that that cover is from Kick Off 2 (though it was actually also used as the cover of the NES port of Kick Off 1 -- which is probably an entirely different game...), because there is no way in hell that anyone could make a decent header with the proper cover of the original game:
