Can you remove the "Taito"? So that the system's name can take the whole space? It's the same with all the other logos -- we do not include the company's name, with the exception of the NES, where it is part of the system's name...

I found a nice huge scan of the box art of Monkey Island:

The first Monkey Island is great, check it out on the frontpage. The thing is that you need to brush out the little bit of hair at the top of the image which does not connect directly to his head... if you can see what I mean...

The rest do not work, unfortunately, nor the AVP one...

This is a template that Recap gave me before our latest spat, because he wanted Postback EX to look like it:

And my question is: Can you make the 5 custom headers we need for the reviews of the first issue?

Also, the five different rating images?

Note that you'll need to add a little "EX" somewhere on top of the tiny Postback logo in the header. The main thing is not to move anything because it's calculated to line up with all the stuff underneath...

If it's too hard then I guess I'll just use the normal Postback layout until we think of something better.

I would need the font used for the ratings, or an alternative one. As for the headers, I guess I can find a very similar font by myself. Anyway, it will take some time, since I am quite busy now.

Actually, I changed my mind. I am not going to be making any major changes to Recap's site in its English version. The only things I'd really like for Postback EX is to replace the site's normal logo with an EX logo, and to replace the buttons on the left of the page, as well as the little "Editorial", "Revision", "Verdicto" etc. buttons with English equivalents.

I'll post here later exact instructions for you, so that when you find some time you'll know what to do.

See the reason I am making this decision is because sooner or later Recap will redesign his ENTIRE site, including of course the old reviews. So whatever redesign WE do, will eventually be superceeded by his own. So it's better to wait for that instead of wasting a lot of time and effort into a temporary solution. Plus there is the problem that Recap only gave me a single-page template and no editorial template, so it'd be pretty hard coming up with those myself.

So basically, I would rather keep this new template and adapt it for use with Insomnia reviews. The problem is that, the way the template is laid out, there is no space for the Insomnia logo you made. So the question is: can you adapt this little header I linked above to a black color scheme, and also to include the Insomnia logo somewhere?

Out of these two jobs the one that has priority is redoing Recap's original logo and buttons, so let's forget about the other one for now. I'll post instructions later and you can take a look at them whenever you can.

I tried the Otogi ones, especially the second ones, but they don't really work. The artwork is really not all that good.

The same more or less goes for the Operation Darkness one. The game has some really cool illustrations created for it, however, with werewolves, vampires, zombies, SS symbols, etc., so perhaps something cool could be made out of that. I'll look for artwork later.

The second Otogi one might be useful later for a review, with the addition of a logo, or perhaps for an archive page about the game, or 3D action games in general...

I used the second one. The differences between them are extremely minor, right? It took me a while to figure out what they are.

And yeah, StarCraft is not currently on my videogame art list. WarCraft II is instead. Perhaps I'll also add StarCraft later, but only if someone can explain to me what's supposed to be so great about this game. Perhaps it's all in the multiplayer mechanics, but from a single-player perspective the game is almost entirely unexceptional.

System logos on the first page updated. Frames were removed, and new dimensions limits were considered.

You already got most of these logos by email on March 18th. I think it would be a good idea to upload them, because imageshack.us can have issues. For instance, the logos in the reviews of Batman and Choujin Sentai Jetman have disappeared.

I also added the TypeX2, web and MS-DOS logos that were made more recently.

Nice to hear you're willing to redo the headers. Unfortunately, there are quite a few headers made by the people who were helping me before you, which I don't have the original artwork/images for. For example, the light gun header on the frontpage. It's my favorite one, but I haven't spoken to the person who made it in years, so it might be hard getting in touch with him again. At any rate the whole thing will require too much work... though the results might just be gorgeous enough to warrant the effort.

I'll have a look around at the options for a new site and keep you posted.
